We're a charity that helps families through child bereavement. We offer help and guidance whilst campaigning and fundraising for improved bereavement services. Elliot's Footprint is working hard to take the loneliness and frustration in the aftermath of losing a child.

Story

Martha and Amrita will be making their running debuts by taking on the Abbey Dash 10k race for Elliot’s Footprint. We’ve seen our colleague Andrea run marathon after marathon this year, and we decided it was about time that we gave this runderful sport a go!

Founded in 2014 and created in John and Andrea’s late son's name, Elliot's Footprint helps families through child bereavement. Your money will go towards funding a bereavement counsellor in Leeds to support families in the aftermath of the death of a child.

A word from Martha:
I am really excited to undertake this challenge to raise money for such a great cause. I know the pain that bereavement causes families and how important it is for them to have comprehensive support, therefore I am happy to be running for such a wonderful charity. I have never run a 10k race before so it certainly will be a challenge!

A word from Amrita:
I’ll be running my first 10K and thinking of my brave little nephew Samar Dilip Khangura. Samar was born on 22nd September 2016 and sadly passed away on the 10th October 2016. I have seen the impact of child bereavement on my loved ones; it is tragic and devastating. It is so so important that we do more to raise awareness and support families who go through this.
