Sepsis Research are a registered Scottish Charity SC044017 & we are the UK’s only Sepsis Research Charity. Every four hours Sepsis kills someone in Scotland. The death toll is more than 4000 each year in Scotland alone & across the UK it’s over 52,000. It’s a bigger killer than lung cancer and more people die from Sepsis than the combined figure for breast cancer and bowel cancer. There is no overall, clear picture of the risk factors associated with it & we urgently need to increase funding for research into this life-threatening illness.
