This year we are raising money for Velindre Cancer Centre.

A very dear friend and colleague Adele received treatment for cancer at Velindre and we would like to give our full support to Adele and the Velindre Cancer Centre. 

The Metropole Mad Dashers will be taking part in a variety of events throughout the  year. 

We started off with Man Versus Horse in Llanwrtyd Wells on Saturday 9th June. 

Judy and Justin then took part in the Severn Bridge Half Marathon on 26th August in the pouring rain but proudly wearing the  lime green Velindre Cancer Centre vests.

Tuesday 28th August, 45 members of staff and 70 community members took part in a Wellness Walk around our  beautiful lake and in 12 hours we completed 410 laps and what made it extra special was the fact that our dear friend was able to join us !!!!

 Germany for the  Munster Marathon on 9th September.   

 Cardiff Half Marathon on 7th October.

Endurancelife marathon and 10K at Lulworth Cove on 1st December

Llanelli Half Marathon  on 10th February

Endurance Life Marathon and 10k at Dartmouth South Devon on 2nd February

Rhayader Round The Lakes on 2nd March

Boston Marathon on 5th April

London Marathon n 28th April

Newport Marathon on 5th May

Royal Welsh Trail Run on 18th May

On June 8th, The Metropole Mad Dashers, Justin, David and Judy will complete our 12 months of running for Velindre Cancer Centre and of course the bravest, beautiful woman Adele Davies.

Thank you to the 20 wonderful ladies who attended our Mothers Day Flower arranging and Afternoon Tea in aid of Velindre Cancer Centre.

And so the final event draws near.

The Metropole Mad Dashers take on The horse. 

Saturday 8th June in Llanwrtyd Wells, Justin the Jogger, David the Dasher and Judy the Just Mover accompanied by Adele the Purple Butterfly, will complete a year of Mad Dashing and we are ohhh sooooo close to our target ..................

       "One foot in front of the other".
