2017 Thames Bridges Bike Ride · 1 October 2017 ·

Every day in the UK, another 240 people wake up to the catastrophic impact of a stroke. The Stroke Association is the only charity in the UK providing lifelong support for all stroke survivors and their families.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My challenge is the Stroke Association "Thames Bridges" cycle ride. Covering 55 miles and crossing all 17 of the Thames Bridges in the London area.

I am a stroke survivor of 4 years as well as being a volunteer helper at my local Stroke Support Group. I feel by being involved with the group I can demonstrate to other survivors that there is life after stroke. It took me 4 months to get back on my bike after the stroke but from there I have gone from strength to strength and last year I achieved my target of 4,500 miles by cycling 4,700 miles.
