In May 2018 I underwent bariatric surgery which enabled me to lose half my body weight.  I got fitter and found a new love of Ultra challenges.  

After completing my first one my parents told me about a woman who had run from John O Groats to Lands end in 12 days - it got me thinking!!!!

I knew that 12 days wasn't quite within my grasp, nor was running the distance,  but decided that 21 could be.  This will involve me walking between 40 and 50 miles a day for 21 days straight. I will be doing this challenge on my own with family supporting me when possible.  I know it won't be easy and there will be tears and tantrums (probably on a daily basis!).

I had envisaged a finish line with my Mom, Dad, husband and maybe others cheering me in to the finish line.  Then this year my family were devastated to lose my beautiful Mom after a 17 week battle from strokes and lung cancer.

I realised then that I would not be on my own but I would walk every step carrying my Mom in my heart and guiding me through the tough times.  Mom was a supporter of the Air Ambulances so I decided that I would raise monies for them along the way in her memory.

So please may I ask my family, friends and anyone who wishes to, to donate to this very deserving charity and support me in my journey from one  end of  the country to the other.
