Mike's Lands End Walk · 2 July 2017

Every day in the UK, another 240 people wake up to the catastrophic impact of a stroke. The Stroke Association is the only charity in the UK providing lifelong support for all stroke survivors and their families.

Story

I am planning to walk from Bristol to Lands End via Plymouth and the south coast of Cornwall between 2nd and 16 July 2017.

I had a minor stroke at the end of 2015 which I took as a wake up call. I have lost weight and am taking more exercise and am feeling much fitter. When I was younger I remember my grandmother having a stroke which left her paralyzed. Much progress in treating strokes has been made since then and the "Act Fast" campaign is helping to make people more aware of what to do. I intend to give out "Act Fast" flyers during my walk.

I will be posting my route on here soon
