What am I doing?
This August I will be completing a 10 mile run in 10 different countries in order to raise money and awareness for mental health. Not only are mental health charities and organizations underfunded, but we don't talk about what's going on inside our minds nearly enough. With your support you and I will soon be teaming up to start solving those two problems!
What's my goal?
I want to keep the conversation around mental health going and raise money for Mind, a U.K. mental health charity that needs donations to continue providing its wonderful services, like a confidential info-line and legal support line, to the public on a daily basis.
Why choose to run 10 miles in 10 countries?
Over the past 6 years that I have dealt with general anxiety dissorder, running has been a huge reason why I now have the tools to keep a lot of that anxiety in check on a daily basis. Inspiring one person through this adventure to pick up their running shoes, a new hobby, or just to talk to someone would mean a lot me. Additionally, any amount of money that goes towards Mind will have a positive impact on their ability to help others get through the day-day struggles of having a mental illness.
