Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In the summer on 2021 Matthew developed a limp following a sporting injury. On 11th August Matthew was admitted to The Royal Manchester Children's Hospital with a slipped epiphysis and had an emergency operation. The level of care at the hospital was outstanding, every member of staff we met works incredibly hard with passion and dedication and I truly felt that Matthew was in safe hands. His operation was a success and he is now on the mend. He can't yet play his beloved football but has put his mind to swimming and set himself a challenge to raise money to contribute to the care of other children who are treated at the hospital. Matthew spent 4 hours in surgery so, with a little help from his big sister and training partner, he will be swimming 40 lengths every week in November to raise money for RMCH Orthopaedics.
