Story
The Aaron Lewis foundation assists many people in rebuilding, furthering and living their lives. Aaron was in Neil's regiment when he lost his life in Afgahnistan so we feel a deep personal connection to his cause. The Lewis family were determined to allow Aaron's dedication, passion and kindness to live on through this charity and we hope that in racing what has been called by Guiness World Records "the toughest race in the world" we will be able to raise funds to continue to honour his name and to help others out there who need it.
The DW is a 125mile 77 portage (get out and run) canoe race done in extremely tippy racing canoes (we should know, we tip them regularly!). Both the physical and the mental challenge is something we are desperate to rise to and hope you will meet us as we paddle under Westminster Bridge on Easter Monday, should all go to plan or at any point along the route.
