(Nearest Tube Tower Hill)

The Centenary of  1917 in Britain has been dominated by the memory of Passchendaele. Yet the offensives in the Spring that led to French Army Mutiny and continued until October were more influential.  They are probably the largest battle on the Western Front that mostr people have never heard of.

François Wicart, the historian and battlefield guide who gave us an excellent talk on Verdun is going to talk about the French Army Mutiny of 1917.

The event includes a sandwich lunch, a glass of wine and the opportunity to network in the exclusive surroundings of the Fusiliers mess in HM Tower of London. If you would like to attend this lunchtime talk, please make a donation of £30 for each attendee (£25 for members of the Battlefields Trust) and email your name, contact number and any special requirements (dietary/mobility) to helen.perry@battlefieldstrust.com On receipt, email confirmation will be sent together with directions to the venue. If you have any questions, please ring 07768 102 594. We look forward to welcoming you.

The booking deadline for this event is Monday 8th January 2018.
