Story
On Wednesday 27th September I will be having approximately eight and a half inches cut off my hair so that I can donate it to
The Little Princess Trust, a charity that provides real hair wigs, free of
charge, to children suffering from hair loss due to cancer treatment. I am asking my friends, family and teachers to sponsor me for this event and I hope to raise over £100 to send to this small but invaluable charity.
The Little Princess Trust was set up in memory of Hannah Triplee, a four year old girl from Hereford who sadly lost her short battle with cancer in June 2005 (the same year I was born). During Hannah's illness many friends wanted to donate money to help, perhaps to send her on a special holiday, but sadly this did not happen. After Hannah died, with this modest amount of donated money, her parents decided to set up this charity with the support of the school and friends. This was so that as many children as possible who need help would benefit and receive a real hair wig, free of charge, as quickly as possible. I have lost my Aunt and Grandpa to cancer in the last 3 years and so raising money to help children is my way of doing something positive to help.
