In 2016 at the age of 29 I was diagnosed with stage 3  primary breast cancer I had 6 rounds of chemotherapy, mastectomy and 15 rounds of radiotherapy. I then started to get my life back I got married and already have 2 beautiful boys. I ran london marathon in 2019 not knowing my cancer was back!! In July  2019 at the age of 33 when I had a routine mri scan the cancer was back in my breast and a ct scan showed that it had also spread to my liver. This is called secondary breast cancer. I go to Newcastle every 4 weeks for bloods injections and tablets. Secondary breast cancer is not curable and unfortunately the cancer will beat me one day but at the moment I am fit and healthy with a positive mindset. I take 2 chemotherapy tablets everyday. I have a lot of support  off family and friends . My husband and boys are my absolute rock and couldn’t of done any of this without them. 3 weeks ago I found out the cancer had disappeared from the breast which is really positive. I live my life to the full, and that is why I am doing crazy things like doing  another marathon which I swore after the last one I would never do. I have chosen to do Edinburgh marathon Which will be ran virtually due to Covid 19, I am doing this for Eden valley hospice as one of my friends from my breast cancer group sadly lost her fight this year so this is for you Glenda Graham and everyone who we have sadly lost recently.
