This October I will be running the London Marathon with the Evelina team in memory of our daughter Grace.

Grace was born on 8th May 2020 at Lewisham Hospital and soon after she was transferred to the Evelina. She received the very best of care from the nurses, doctors and consultants who worked tirelessly to try to understand her symptoms. The nurses in the cardiology PICU in particular hold a special place in my heart as they spent every hour of the day and night on their feet, ready to respond to Grace’s needs. They also looked after her and us with such humanity and love, making our time with Grace richer than we could have hoped for. 

More than anything, the Evelina afforded us time with our daughter, something we will be eternally grateful for.
