Story
As some of you may already know, this year got off to a really bad start when I lost Laura. We'd met back up after some 16 years after losing touch when we left school and picked up right where we left off.
I made us a bucketlist of 75 things we could enjoy doing together and I'm spending much of this year completing the list with some help from family and friends.
Though skydiving isn't on the list, 'donate to/fundraise for charity is'. And so for some reason, I've decided to do the one thing I've always said I would never do... skydive! The idea absolutely terrifies me but it's time to face that fear and raise some money for MS Society.
Though I don't directly know anyone affected by MS, some years ago Laura worked with a chap by the name of Kane Roper, and they became good friends and stayed in touch throughout the rest of her life. Kane was sadly diagnosed with MS back in 2004 at QMC and as a result ultimately had to return to New Zealand. Though we've never met, I've been in contact with Kane online over the last few months and can safely say that anyone that was a friend of Laura is a friend of mine. So this is for you Kane!
