Far too many of us have felt the pain of losing someone we love. With your donations, we power groundbreaking cardiovascular research to save and improve lives, bring hope to families, and keep hearts beating across the UK.

Story

Thanks for visiting my page. I'm raising money for the British Heart Foundation and I'd be so grateful for your support.

My name is Oscar and I'm 11years old.

My grandad was my best buddy and he sadly died in April this year. He had problems with his heart since birth but he didn't let it stop him and he was always playing sport (or talking about it).

As he got older he developed heart failure and was helped by the work and research the British Heart Foundation did so he could live longer and spend more time with us.

Because I want to do something to remember him, I've decided to do a virtual cycle from my house in Bristol to his house in Plymouth, to help the British Heart Foundation raise even more money to help more Grandads like mine.

It's 119miles and I'm going to do it over a week, every day after school, starting on Mon 16 May.

The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK but sadly every day hundreds of people lose their lives. It's only thanks to support from people like us that the BHF can create new treatments and discover new cures. Every pound helps so please give what you can to help me hit my target. Thanks!
