Story
We (Rosie and Geoff) are cycling 300km from London to Paris in July to raise money for The Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice Care.
Sadly on the 5th Feb 17 we lost Grandma/Mum, an amazing lady who put up a courageous fight with the dreaded C-word for many years! The care and support she and all of the family received from The Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice was second to none and we couldn’t be more thankful to them in making her final days calm and comfortable.
About Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice Care
Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice Care provides supportive and end of life care for adult patients and families living with a terminal illness (such as cancer, heart, lung or neurological disease) in West Surrey and North East Hampshire, an area of 550,000 residents.
Every day we support over 250 patients, relatives and carers in their own homes, in the community, at the Hospice in Farnham and at the Beacon Centre in Guildford, through a mix of medical and nursing care, therapies, counselling, social work and practical support.
The NHS/Government only covers 20% of our costs, which means we have to raise over £20,000 a day to be able to offer all our services, free of charge, to our patients and their families. We therefore rely heavily on the support and generosity of our local community.
Please help us make this all worthwhile by donating as much or as little as you can spare for such a great cause! Thanks in advance - let the training commence!
