Paris to Pisa · 5 August 2016

We’re Mind, the mental health charity, working across England & Wales. We believe no one should face a mental health problem alone. We’re here for you. Whether you’re stressed, depressed or in crisis. We’ll listen, give support & advice, & fight your corner. Thanks for fundraising for national Mind.

Story

Thank you for showing an interest in our charity event! We are excited about the coming months and our challenge ahead. Between the 5th and 15th August 2016 a group of 10 friends will cycle over 1,200km from the Eiffel Tower to the Leaning Tower of Pisa. Our culprits range from cycling novice to competing club riders. We really need your support!

We’d love to help reduce the stigma attached to mental health problems which is why our chosen charity is Mind. We are supporting this nationwide mental health charity as many of our friends and family members have experienced mental health problems ranging from general anxiety to Bipolar and Schizophrenia.

Every year a quarter of adults in the UK will experience mental health problems and we probably all know somebody that already does. This could happen to anybody; including us. Mind offers befriending and counselling to local communities and other services unavailable through the strained NHS. Your donation can go a long way:

 £3 could send information booklets to 9 people helping them to understand their symptoms and the treatment and support available.
 £8 could allow one of Mind’s Infoline advisers to answer someone’s call for help giving them information, reassurance and hope for the future.
 £15 could pay for someone with a mental health problem to take part in a group therapy session

You can follow our progress at www.t2t.bike and if you would like more information regarding Mind’s excellent work you can visit www.mind.org.uk
