Story
Thank you for visiting my JustGiving page.
On Sunday 29th August this year, alongside club captain Nick Morgan, will be organising and completing the ‘virtual’ Cardiff 10K following a pre-selected (and tough) route around Penarth, in order to raise much needed funds for Kidney Wales – a charity that is very close to our hearts here at Penarth Cricket Club.
Kidney Wales raises funds to support families and change the lives of those suffering with Kidney disease. Kidney Wales objective is to promote strategies and services to prevent and treat kidney disease, and to help deliver better quality and quantity of life for patients, families and carers.
Last year, we managed to convince 30+ people affiliated with the club to complete the chosen 10K route to raise in excess of £3,500 for Kidney Wales, and this year we have over 40 people that are already committed to running the course and helping to raise money once again.
We’re very thankful to my employer, Legal & General, who will kindly provide matched funding up to £5,000 raised for our charity, so any donation that you’re able to make in order to support this event will be very gratefully received.
We’ll see you at the finish line.
Big shout out to our runners who are helping to raise funds:
