Story
Teresa was diagnosed with a brain tumour 18 years ago and following two major brain operations she has despite disability managed to work and travel the world thanks to the support of our wonderful surgeon and Brain Tumour Support team.
In June 2016 when sat at my desk at work the phone rang with a relation saying a word I will never forget “Teresa is having a fit”.
After so many years living a normal life and been given the all clear I still knew what this meant when been assisted by colleagues.
Having become quite an expert on the subject over so many years I unfortunately knew instantly how serious this was as I tried to drive home and great the ambulance.
Now after a third brain operation by the same surgeon with new robotic technology we are one once again. She has had to learn to walk, talk, and use her arm and hand once again. and have months of rehabilitation once more.
She is amazing and now back to work part time and living life.
The support of the Brain Tumour Support Team providing counselling to come to terms with another life changing event has been incredible. A service we had never used before. Sometimes despite how strong you are you need to just say "HELP".
