I will walk 100 miles in 100 hours for St Davids Hospice Care!
My wife Jane was diagnosed with stomach cancer in October 2018. November 2018 she had 3/4 of her stomach removed followed by 6 months of Chemotherapy. Strong in an understatement! Jane improved week after week until we had our marriage blessed on 23 November 2019, the best day of her life, so she said!! She then went down hill. At the start of 2020 she had more procedures, but the decline was fast.
St Davids Hospice care, District nurses and our Doctors were incredible, they organised equipment, bed, and everything we needed to help Jane at home.
My wife, my children's mother, she was a sister, nanny and a friend, my best friend. She didn't want to go, she wanted to see her grandchildren grow, Emily and Charlie to Graduate and then go on. She wanted to see Kerryann and Sammyjo live happy lives.
So, with the care and attention Jane received from St Davids Nurses, all of them were incredible, but especially Laura and Suzanne, I am trying to raise some funds as St Davids has been hit hard by Covid.
I will be walking 100 miles in 100 hours, 1 mile every hour for 100 hours!
I will be starting on Thursday 20th August and finishing on Monday 24th August.
