Story
We are running a second appeal in memory of our daughter Dotty Isla Lavery, who would have been 2 on February 6th 2020. Dotty was diagnosed at 20 weeks with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome, meaning half of her heart had not developed. She was then born 9 weeks early, meaning that she was too small for her planned operations to help treat her condition. Dotty sadly passed away early on the 8th February 2018.
We are running this appeal with our close friend Jodie who was with us in Bristol NICU for our entire stay. As we did last year, we are raising money for Cots for Tots, a charity linked to St. Michaels Hospital in Bristol who cared for Dotty and us after she was born. To hopefully make things more interesting we have all decided to shave our heads upon reaching our goal, we feel this would be a fun motivation for people to support our appeal. The response last year from friends and family was so unexpected and we would love to try this year to raise even more, as this may not be something we plan to do every year.
Thank you so much for reading, anything you can afford to give is massively humbling and we look forward to our expectations being absolutely smashed again.
All our appreciation,
Charlotte, Rich and Jodie
