On July 29th I will be starting the Transcontinental Race No. 6. 

Covering over 2,500 miles in around 11 days, the TCR is a solo, self-supported ultra-distance cycle race from Belgium to Greece. The route I take is up to me; all I have to do is pass through four checkpoints (in Austria, Slovenia, Poland and Bosnia) and get to Greece as quickly as possible. Easy!

In attempting this odyssey I'm hoping to raise some money for Launchpad, a charity combatting homelessness in Reading. While I am voluntarily heading out onto the open road to sleep under the stars, Launchpad are working tirelessly to help and support people for whom this isn't a choice, people who don't have a home to return to. 

So please, while I'm saddle sore, sunburned and hallucinating in the dark on a roadside in the Balkans through lack of sleep (you'll be able to track my progress in real-time through the event website) please help me raise some money for a great cause.
