My Story
My grandma was taken to Isabel Hospice in Welwyn Garden City in September 2019. She had Alzheimer's and had been unwell for a long time. I remember that she used to love seeing me and my cousins whenever we went to visit and she would always go and find toys for us to play with.
When I decided that I wanted to do the bike ride for a charity, I asked my Dad which charity helped Grandma and he said that Isabel Hospice was where she was looked after when she was very sick. So I have decided to do this to support them and to remember our Grandma.
My Ride
I will be doing a 9 mile circular route throughout the day with the support of my Dad. The aim is to complete as many laps as we can in 12 hours. Starting at 7am and riding until 7pm.
My personal goal is to complete between 8 and 10 laps.
We are going to complete the ride at the end of May (lockdown dependant!) so have not specified a date but hoping to do on 24th May 2020.
I would really love it if you can help me get to my goal of £500 by sponsoring me on my Just Giving page. I love cycling but knowing I am being supported by so many people will definitely help me when my legs start to ache!
About the Charity
Isabel Hospice provides palliative support to the 340,000 people who live in eastern Hertfordshire.Hospice care is about helping people to live well for as long as possible and have a good death in the place of their choice when the time comes. Without your help, we could not make this possible for our patients and their families. Each year we care for around 1,855 people but we know there are even more people that need our help.
