October 16th 2015, My dream soul mate Fiona tragically died. Cancer claimed, Fiona`s mother,  her father and two brothers died with the condition present. My mother died of cancer.

As we journey through life we encounter many who are taken by or suffer with this miserable disease, enduring difficult periods of treatment, we hear of others too. Cancer is indiscriminate, young or aged, the good, our loved ones, rich or poor, it can be you or me.

My message is simple. Together we can raise funds for Cancer Research. I pledge to take the punishment and blisters accross the roof of Yorkshire and survive. It is a tough and unforgiving route, the elements can be quite "brutal" Like cancer it can and does take on anyone!  

I plan to embark upon my mission on Oct 16th this year (one year on from Fiona`s death)

PS, the date may alter due to weather conditions in that area around mid October.

Three Peaks challenge successful on Friday14/10/16, the weather being just right, sunny, cool and windy on all summits. Start at 07.00, Cafe` at Horton in Ribblesdale, finish at 18.45, back at start point, 11.45hrs walk/climb.

Fiona`s grandaughter will be one year old, Michael and Patrick her two sons will have each had birthdays, Michael will celebrate his fourth wedding anniversary, all without their mother,  I will also attain my 69th year that month.

So, all I ask is this!  Dig deep, support my "mission" donate generously.  If you knew Fiona,  you would know she deserved a longer life, with time to embrace all that life still had to offer.  My appeal needs your support. I am relying on YOU. Join me on the day if you wish, you may well enjoy the journey or part of it, the scenery on a clear day is unbelievable.

Fiona was one of Yorkshires finest. A fitting tribute to Fiona is the "Yorkshire three" challenge. The best of Yorkshire.
