Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

It is my intention to start my challenge on the 24 April 20, a date that always pops up, whatever I tend to do, I.e previous house moves to deployments on exercise and Operational tours. This date is special as it is the birthday of my wife’s brother, who sadly is no longer with us, the NHS looked after him until his last breath and I have the upmost respect for all who work within this arena.

Being a Fellow Scotsman i saw it fitting to run 500 miles. I have chosen 35 days as I will turn 35 years old on the last day of this gruelling challenge which will be physically and mentally testing on my body and mind.

The total distance broken down over the 35 days works out to be 14.28 miles each day, with no rest in between. My challenge will start on the 24 April 20 and finish on the 28 May 20, 35 days!!!

You will be able to do your part by supporting me along the way, donating however much you feel, your donations will only keep me focused on what lies ahead.

I will be uploading my progress each day, utilising  the Strava running application and uploading this to social networks such as Facebook and my WhatsApp groups. Please feel free to add me on Strava and follow my journey with me. Pictures and live links will also be accessible to view along my journey.

I will finish by saying that the NHS are doing a fantastic job to keep us all safe.

Thank you all for taking the time, stay safe and I’ll see you at the finish line.
