Hi,

I have worked at Helen House as a nurse for 7 years. I see everyday what a huge difference this amazing place makes to so many families. It is a magical place full of light and laughter. The love we witness, when families are faced with the unthinkable, is indescribable. 

We want to support this fantastic cause, because it is a life line for so many. "I cannot imagine, how I would cope, if the anxiety we all carry as parents would become reality." That's why we want to make sure Helen House will always be there to support families in need.

Adeline and I are pushing ourselves far out of our comfort zone. We are very respectful of this extreme challenge: phobia of heights, the bitter cold and altitude sickness will demand our last fiber of strength. So why are we doing this? Maybe to face our demons? Maybe to make a peace with ourselves as 'good enough'?

However, none of this compares to the hardship some of the children at Helen House go through! We hope our story will inspire you to support Helen & Douglas House and its children and families, and make sure no-one has to walk this unthinkable journey alone.
