Story
Hello everyone! This October, I'm taking on the 100 miles in October challenge to raise funds for the National Autistic Society.
I've chosen to do this because I'm so passionate about raising awareness for autism. My family lives with autism, and like thousands of other families across the country, it's a part of our daily lives. Sometimes, I like to think of it like the weather. It's always there, constantly changing, and we consider it in every part of our day. Some days bring extra challenges, while others bring even more joy, but no matter what, it's a constant.
Every family has a unique story, which is why I believe it's so important to build a better understanding of autism across British society. A greater understanding can lead to more empathy, and that would go a long way toward making things better for everyone.
The National Autistic Society helps the 700,000 autistic people in the UK and their families. They do incredible work, from running specialized schools and campaigning for better rights to training companies on how to be more autism-friendly. They are truly dedicated to transforming lives and changing attitudes.
I'm hoping that my fundraising efforts will help make daily life just a little bit easier for every family with autism. Your donations would be a huge help in creating a society that works for all autistic people and their families. Thank you so much for your support! 💜
