Sandra & Mark Jones are becoming intrepid explorers to help rebuild children’s lives and prevent abuse. Sandra Jones has made the brave decision to also train for Trek Transalvanyia for NSPCC in July 2019 and all sponsorship raised will go towards NSPCC's vital funds & services. 

We will set out in October to take part in the Great Wall of China Trek 2018. Every penny raised on this week-long challenge will go towards the charity’s fight for every childhood. We have been training extremely hard to achieve our challenge so we can raise much needed funds. 

Sandra Jones, Fundraising Manager for Cumbria, has signed up to take part in the trek with her husband Mark. Sandra said: “I have never done anything on this scale before and I have a real fear of heights so this is a huge challenge for me. “But I am excited and know it will feel like a great achievement – not only completing the trek but raising the much-needed funds for the NSPCC’s vital work. 

We will be raising money for the NSPCC. The NSPCC isn't a wealthy charity, in fact the NSPCC's annual income is equivalent to a Child Protection department in one Local Authority. The NSPCC only has resources to answer 3 out of every 4 contacts that children make to their Childline Service. A child contacts the service every 25 seconds! These are shocking statistics and the NSPCC needs your help.
