We aim to enable patients with life limiting conditions to live life as fully as possible and make the most of the time they have, as well as supporting their loved ones. It costs almost £4m a year to provide vital free care services and we rely heavily on the support from our community.

Story

I'm holding a sponsored six-hour fire safety and litter pick over Cannock Chase in memory of my mom and in protest over the proposed closure of 34 car parks and access points across the Chase. The plan would see huge swathes of the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty made out of bands for people like my mom whose mobility was restricted by cancer and its treatments as well as elderly people who have been accessing these areas for decades.

Katharine House provides free hospice care services in Mid Staffordshire for people faced with an illness that cannot be cured. Our aim is to enable our patients and those close to them to live as fully as possible and make the most of the time that's left."The team were fantastic. They helped us to deal with watching our son die and then helping us through the next few hours when we were all numb and not able to think about anything else."-Family of an At Home Team patient
