Shipston Young farmers club take on the Yorkshire 3 peaks on the 28th April 2018.

In aid of The Katharine House Hospice, to say thank you for the support they gave to a couple of our club members , The page family. 

Here is a few words from The Page Family

The Katharine house hospice is an incredible charity in which help people battling against cancer aswell as supporting there family and loved ones..
The hospice have supported my family over the last 5 years and made the last years of my mother’s life as easy , enjoyable and pain free as possible, our family will be forever grateful for that . The hospice offers a day hospice for people to go in and socialise , Mum was lucky enough to be invited to go twice a week, she’d have her hair and nails done, chat with friends, she put together a lovely scrap book with years of special memories, they would have a lovely lunch and the Chaplin would also sit and chat with them.. aswell as this she also went for rest bite (relaxation) for a week every 3 months a chance to be waited on hand and foot and recharge her battery’s... towards the end of her battle she spent the last few months as a permanent patient on the ward and the love and care they gave for her was unbelievable. They allowed me to drop the dog of every morning to spend the day with her he would sit and the bottom of the bed and keep her company throughout the day. We could visit at anytime of day or night for as long as we wanted and nothing was to much to ask. The boys would rock up at 10pm when they had finish on the farm covered in mud and the first thing they would do was offer them a cup of tea. They allowed me to stay with her over night so she wasn’t alone. I don’t think any of us could have got through any of this without the care and support the hospice provided us with and the support they still provide us with now.. Not once did I ever worry that she was not being cared for properly or that she wasn’t in the safest of hands . We owe everything to this charity and will do anything we possibly could to raise money so that they can provide the love and care that the did for my mother to others aswell..
So please dig deep for the wonderful SHIPSTON YOUNG FARMERS who are braving the Yorkshire 3 peak challenge to raise money for this most incredible charity which We are so so greatful for...
