Sadly on 7th June, Irene, loving wife to John, and amazing mum to Katie and Sophie, finally lost her 5 year battle to cancer. We are absolutely heartbroken and feel like our world has ended. 

She was the strongest, bravest woman we know and we are so proud of her for the way she fought this terrible disease. We miss her so much already. 

Things are particularly strange at the moment with Covid19, making difficult times even harder. The funeral is on Tuesday 23rd June 10:00am in the centre chapel at Landican Cemetery & Crematorium, Arrowe Park Road, Woodchurch, Wirral, CH49 5LW. The service inside the chapel is family only due to social distancing restrictions, but anyone who knew mum and would like to come and pay their respects or say goodbye are more than welcome to come and stand outside of the chapel.

Always looking out for others and generous to a fault, we wanted to honour her by kindly requesting family flowers only and suggesting donations to charity instead. Mum wanted to do the Teal Walk in Birmingham next month (similar to “Race for Life”) to raise money for Ovacome, a charity raising awareness and providing support to those affected by ovarian cancer. As the event is no longer going ahead, this seems the perfect choice for any donations made in her honour.
