Hello, My name is Sophie, I'm 11 years old, and for the next month I am going to sleep in a tent in our front garden to raise money for Compassion. Compassion is a charity that helps children and families living in poverty and gives them education, medical care, food and other support. These are basic, human rights that we all deserve yet sadly many do not have. Compassion can change that.

For the past 4 years I have been (and still am) sponsoring a girl called Aster. She is my age, lives in Ethiopia and, until Compassion got involved, Aster and her familly didn't have the basic rights mentioned above. Through sponsorship we hope she will have a bright future ahead of her. In the picture above you might spot a photograph of Aster taken when she was 10.
