We have chosen Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice to raise money for, because its a charity close to both our hearts, and they need every penny! Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice were involved in caring for Stacy's dad, who was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in July 2017. The care we received before dad passed away in the July was amazing, they were so lovely and caring, and have continued to send me cards etc. The care they gave made such a huge difference at such a difficult time. A relative of Nicola's was also cared for at Manorlands, and Nicola's nan is currently in a hospice. Manorlands is predominantly voluntary funded, and we know personally just how important it is to support Manorlands to ensure it is able to continue serving our community for years to come.
Manorlands Hospice is an amazing place and an amazing charity, and every year they need to raise £2.1m just to keep their services going!! We are hoping you will be able to support us and our local hospice. In Ilkley they are working really hard to raise awareness of all the care they provide in the area. Its not just cancer, its any terminal illness such as heart failure, MS, renal failure, Parkinsons etc. Along with holding a 'pop up' book shop in the practice we are also going to be climbing the Cowling Pepper Pot on 22nd June and zip lining 300m down over the crag!!! (I know......we must be mad!) This is a big thing for us to do, and we would appreciate any donations, big or small. We would LOVE to be able to raise enough to fund 12 bereavement counselling sessions for children who have lost a parent or loved one, this would cost them £720 so we really hope we can reach our target and do that for them. Any donation, big or small is so gratefully received. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and support us xx
