Young Farmers' Clubs face a funding crisis due to Covid-19. For the first time in 89 years we have launched a national fundraising campaign to help secure YFC's future. Please help so that we do not lose vital services for rural young people.

Story

Staffordshire YFC members and supporters are planning to cover 500 miles during the month of April to raise some much needed funds for clubs and the County Federation.  Members will be getting out into the fresh air, (following the youthwork guidance for being covid secure) and covering the miles on foot (running or walking); biking, horse riding - maybe even kayaking!  Anything not motorized basically!

WHY?

Staffordshire County Federation is the only rural youth organisation in the county, for anyone aged between 10 and 27 years of age.  We provide a much needed service to connect young people in rural communities across Staffordshire, via our ten clubs and have been operating for 69 years (yes we celebrate big BIG 7-0 in 2022!)

Each club (Abbotsholme, Ashley, Chase, Cheadle, Eccleshall, Leek, Lichfield, Stone, Uttoxeter and Waterhouses) usually meet on a weekly basis to bring their members together to take part in competitions, talks, fundraising events,  learn new skills and training, mental wellbeing sessions, socials and so much more.  During the last 12 months, with all events and activities being on hold, we have had to shift to a virtual delivery which included a Virtual Rally in May and December as well as "Shoe Box Show Floats" at a Virtual County Show.  Despite members enthusiasm during the pandemic, Clubs and the County face great challenges in the coming months, as we are still unable to hold fundraising events and are very reliant on the face to face delivery of activities and events to keep our members involved, in particular our social fundraising events.

As the County and Clubs have also not been able to fund raise in the usual way, leaving their finances under greater pressure for the coming membership year.

So as we start to re-build Staffordshire YFC (clubs and County) as the country eases gently out of lockdown, please can you support us?

WHAT CAN YOU DO?

Please help us to continue to provide the vital services which enable our members to have somewhere to go, get involved in their club, learn new skills and make like-minded friends for life. Any donations of any size will be much appreciated and will help to preserve Staffordshire YFC Clubs and County for future generations.

Any funds raised from this page will be split between Staffordshire YFC and any participating clubs whose members clock up some miles.
