Story
Every year Stagecoach West connects with our local communities to raise money for local charities. This year we are so proud to support the James Hopkins Trust. This Trust make such a difference to the lives of children with life threatening illnesses, and offer such invaluable support to their families. Whilst we have done some activity for them in the past, including volunteering work on their sensory garden, we know that a greater impact comes from raising cash funds for the charity. A £15 donation enables a nurse to visit a child at home for one hour and give respite care. A £10 donation allows a child with a life threatening illness to enjoy one hour in their multi-sensory room.
Normally we are a team of bus drivers taking our customers from A to B. Over this festive period however, we want to impress our local community with our ability to deliver amazing renditions of Christmas carols and other well known Christmas songs. We are stepping out of our bus cabs and into a rehearsal studio to warm up our voices and raise lot's of cash for the James Hopkins Trust. We will tour several busy locations and illuminate the street with our transformed twinkling gold bus and gather around to sing our hearts out.
Any customer or member of our community who supports us, in turn supports a truly wonderful charity. No one wants to imagine being in a situation where our child may be critically ill. However, parents in our local community do face that daily challenge and we have the chance to step in to help the Trust to offer an open door and around-the-clock support.
