In 2017 I was diagnosed with bowel cancer at the age of 35. It was a massive shock to me and my family, with an 18 month old little boy at home it was almost unthinkable that I wouldn’t be around to see him grow up. I had all sorts of thoughts running around in my head about how to tell him I wouldn’t always be around for him and Emma, Henry’s Mum.
3 days after my diagnosis I was in hospital having what turned out to be life saving surgery. The NHS staff who cared for me were unbelievable the surgeon was, well, a life saver and to this day personally oversees my check ups and ongoing support. The Macmillan nurses are very very special people and will always be there for mine and my families support and for other people in the same position.
Words are easy to say, but I’m not a person who talks a lot about anything but Cancer is real and needs to be treated as such. Without continual donations and charity work the much needed research cannot continue, I have seen first hand how emotional and terrifying this illness can be please give something to help us rid the world of this terrible illness whatever form it takes!!!
From me, Emma and our amazing son Henry I thank you in readiness for your donations to help to save many more Daddies from a unnecessary and premature end
THANK YOU
