stephen's Anglesey Coastal Path

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Our dad was diagnosed with Supranuclear Palsy in 2017. He had been living at home until things became too hard for him and we made the difficult choice that he needed 24hr nursing care.
Unfortunately in October that year we lost the best dad and grandad anyone could have and it has been really tough him not being there for me, my brother , sister and grand kids.
Anyone who knows me will not be surprised when I said I was going to raise money for Dementia UK that my challenge would be a "silly" walk of some kind. So starting on the 25th May I will be walking the Anglesey Coastal path (140 miles) in 8 days as we have many fond memories from there with it being the place my mum was evacuated to during the war and having many a happy holiday when we were younger.
Dementia isn't just being a little bit forgetful or a natural part of getting older. There is nothing funny about dementia - it is a horrible disease that is stealing people from their loved ones on a daily basis..
Even if people can't donate I hope to raise more awareness about dementia so that the next time you are in the street and see someone looking confused, or are at a till in the shop and the person in front is slow, or someone says something strange to you that doesn't quite make sense - please think twice about being mean or making cruel comments - show a bit of understanding - ask if you can help.
Thank you.
