Story
Boxing Day 2016, three 18 year-olds will be embarking on a cross-continental charity car rally: The Plymouth to Dakar Challenge.
3700 miles in a £100 banger. With very limited mechanical knowledge and six weeks before we leave, we are very excited for the adventure to begin.
On our sub-Saharan journey we will be raising money for the fantastic local cause, ST LUKE'S HOSPICE, so please DONATE!
St Luke's Hospice care for thousands of terminally ill patients for 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Dedicating their work to offer dignity and choice, where no person has to die alone, in pain or in distress. They care for local people, no matter where; at home; in hospital or at their specialist unit in Turnchapel. With over £4 million to raise each year to keep this fantastic hospice running, we were delighted with the opportunity to help this local charity.
Our lovable yet elusive fourth team member (the car) will also be auctioned at our final destination to fund the construction of a medical centre in Banjul, The Gambia.
