Dolphinholme CE Primary School is a small, rural school filled with fantastic pupils and their families, and a great staff. Over the last couple of years, fundraising has been difficult due to the pandemic. Our amazing PTFA have held fundraising events when possible but what they now need is a huge boost to enable them to continue to support our school. So, I agreed to jump out of a plane!!

Our PTFA help to pay for special trips like going to the theatre; they pay for coaches to take us on days out and support our classes by providing funds for every class each year to use for something special. This has enabled the pupils to work with local artists, have special experiences including a Victorian Christmas at The Judges' Lodgings in Lancaster.  They also purchase resources that enhance the school's learning environment - some of the extras that are beyond the reach of our normal budget.

The pupils at Dolphinholme love the trim trail - it keeps them active and develops balance, strength, agility and physical fitness. We would love to extend this facility and so the money raised from the skydiving event will be used towards this project. We are also quite exposed and need to have more shade during the summer months. This is also a focus of this project.

Incidentally, I shall be retiring at the end of 2022 and this skydive will be a fitting way to give back to our lovely village school.
