Story
This December, staff at Sue Ryder Thorpe Hall Hospice have become Team Reindeer (very festive!) and will be taking on the December Daily Dash challenge.
Everyday in December, a member of staff from the hospice will choose to run, walk or jog 5k to help raise funds for the expert palliative care that we're so proud to provide to our community. From nurses to fundraisers, and chefs to counsellors - we'll all be getting involved!
This year Sue Ryder Thorpe Hall Hospice have faced enormous challenge. The Covid-19 pandemic swept in and changed everyone’s lives. It stopped everything in its tracks, kept everyone apart and changed the way we all work.
Lockdown. PPE. Shielding. Isolation. Restrictions on visits from loved ones. None of these stopped the team at Sue Ryder Thorpe Hall Hospice from providing end-of-life care. Yes it’s tough, but there is no other option. It’s what we do - it’s part of who we are.
And there is so much more support we will need to give. The coronavirus crisis is ongoing. There will be a greater need for palliative and bereavement support. With your help, we will be there. Because we simply can’t stop caring.
Any donation you're able to make means the world to everyone at Sue Ryder Thorpe Hall Hospice. It is with your support that we can continue to be there when it matters for people at the most difficult time of their lives.
Thank you for thinking of our hospice.
With festive wishes to you all, The Sue Ryder Thorpe Hall Hospice team
