100 mile cycle ride in North Wales · 12 May 2019

Fire Fighters Charity provides care and support to the UK’s fire family. It helps with any health and wellbeing challenges firefighters, control staff, and everyone working in – or retired from – the UK’s fire services, as well as their families, may face - during and after service

Story

I will be taking part in an organised cycle ride from Airbus Broughton with Ride Clwyd where i wish to raise money for The Fire Fighters Charity.

It will consist of a 70mile round trip from Airbus, then an added 30 mile cycle ride from Airbus Broughton back to my station in Holywell this time carrying a Breathing Apparatus set on my back as a small token gesture to all our fallen and injured colleges who have and continue to work seflessly to aid others. This in total will be 100 miles personaly my biggest ride to date.

A little about The Fire Fighters Charity,

Our support programmes include rehabilitation, recuperation, psychological & nursing across our 3 centres. We also offer local assistance. It costs over £8 million a year to meet the needs of our beneficiaries & with no regular government funding we are reliant on donations & fundraising.
