We give care and support to patients when it matters most.

Story

I'm doing this crazy challenge because when my dear Dad died a decade ago, I said that I would do Lands End to John O Groats before I was 40. Time's up. So this is the year.

I want to give back to MacMillan for the contribution they gave to my Dad's care.

Those who have worked with or used MacMillan's services will know the amazing job that they do for people at the worst of times. So I wanted the first £2,000 I raised to be for MacMillan. I've achieved this already and now I'd like to fundraise for St Peters

I also want to remember our friend Tam Huggett-Haines who sadly passed in early 2017 leaving a husband and two beautiful daughters.

I was fortunate enough to see Tam the day before she passed in the wonderful private room she had at St Peter's. So I
desperately want to contribute to their awesome Room to Care campaign (watch this video: https://youtu.be/As8setuRqWA).

Normally I take on these challenges in the knowledge that I can do the challenge but it will be hard. This one's different.

I'm not actually certain that I can do 1,000 miles (1,600km) in 9 days. Over a hundred miles each consecutive day with the height of Everest thrown in nearly twice over too.

So please dig deep and give a few pounds to help encourage me to train and achieve this stupid goal in 2018.

You can also give quickly and easily by sending a text "TRAB80 £10" to 70070. Thank you, your support will drive me forward and help our friends and loved ones be better supported at the hardest times of their lives.
