Story
So, some of you will know that this year it will be 20 years since we sadly lost my mum, I’ll be honest it doesn’t feel like 5 years let alone 20…. I remember the day I found out like it was yesterday, I don’t think anything can prepare you for losing a parent, let alone at such a young age, it took me a very long time to come to terms with the loss and face the fact that I would never see her again. Honestly, I still struggle now, grief doesn’t go, you just learn to live with it.
Because of my experience, I’ve chosen Winston's Wish as it something very close to my heart. I know that no amount of money can ever replace a parent, but if this can help improve just one child’s life, then it's worth it.
