Story

Here we go again!

You may have seen my previous page where I walked the border of Wales to raise money for Mind. We raised over £10,000 including Gift Aid - thank you to everyone for your support. Now, for Episode 2...

This time, I will be walking and camping from Lands End to John O’Groats in memory of my best mate Luke Willis. I will be walking from Lands’ End to John O’Groats, solo, just with my rucksack and shelter, living ‘wild’ in the heart of winter. My aim is to stay off the road as much as I can and make it as scenic as possible. The route will hit a number of national trails and will be roughly 1200 miles.

In Luke's honour, I will be raising money for LATCH Welsh Children's Cancer Charity. LATCH supported Luke and his family enormously and we agreed this was a good choice!

LATCH supports the children and their families who are being treated by the Oncology Unit at the Children’s Hospital of Wales, whose catchment area stretches from Chepstow in the South to Aberystwyth in the North. Around 70 new cases are diagnosed every year.

Here's an idea of what money raised for LATCH goes towards:

- £23 could provide transport expense for a family from Swansea to make round trips to Cardiff, the nearest treatment centre.

- £250 could provide a specialised buggy to help a child with mobility

- £250 could also help a family with a child on chemotherapy with the added cost of heating a house

- £500 could go towards give families a well-deserved holiday after such an emotional and exhausting time.

Social media will be run by brother Joe and the accounts are as follows:
