Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

West Berkshire Sands are fundraising to have a baby memorial garden within Thatcham Cemetery. We have been given authorisation from the council for the space we require within the baby section of the Cemetery, what we need to do now is to fundraise to make this much needed memorial garden a reality within West Berkshire so that all bereaved families following the loss of a baby can come and quietly reflect in the comfort of the memorial garden's peaceful and beautiful setting. This planned garden will also be where West Berkshire Sands plans to hold all our national Babyloss awareness events.

We are a local branch of the National Sands Charity. We support anyone
affected by the loss of a baby either through miscarriage, stillbirth,
neonatal or infant death, no matter how long ago or how recent the loss.
We cover the area from Newbury, Basingstoke, Thatcham, Reading,
Andover and all the places in between.

This group is run by volunteers who are bereaved parents themselves
and so understand the devastation and heartache of losing a baby.

We would like to thank everyone for there continued support of our
charity without which we would not be able to offer the vital support we
give to local families.

With Love
