5 Peaks Challenge · 10 July 2017

The Matt Hampson Foundation inspires and supports young people seriously injured through sport. Through expert physiotherapy, specialist personal training, support, mentoring and advice, the Foundation helps people with life-changing injuries to get busy living again.

Story

Wilds Lodge is a residential, therapeutic school based in Rutland. We are a small independent school, that caters for boys with SEN, who are aged 6 - 19. This challenge has been planned & organised by the Post 16 department as part of the students 'support the local community' outcomes, & the team consists of 3 staff & 4 students (14, 15, 18 & 18).

The challenge starts on Monday 10th July with the ascent of Ben Nevis. On Tuesday 11th, the team will climb Aonach Mor & Beag. On Wednesday 12th, we will climb Scafell Pike, & we complete our challenge on Thursday 13th with our ascent of Snowdon. We have been fortunate enough to receive sponsorship for this challenge from the BGL group, which we are extremely grateful for. Please consider making a donation to help us support this excellent charity.

The aim of the Matt Hampson Foundation is to provide advice, support, relief and/or treatment for anyone suffering serious injury or disability which has arisen from any cause, but in particular from participation in or training for any sport, sporting activity or other form of physical education or recreation. We assist individuals by offering direct grants or by paying into existing and future funds to assist with equipment, technology or just every day expenses.
