We are fundraising for Prostate Cancer UK. You can donate on the day, gain sponsorship with the sponsorship forms that will be provided on the Facebook page, or give here through JustGiving. You can donate £1, £2, £3, £4, £5, or £10 by texting "ZOWD50" and the amount, e.g. "£5" to "70070", the text itself is free.
Our 6th Annual Zombie Walk Dundee is on Saturday the 7th of October 2017 at 14:00 (arrive at 13:30 for zombie make-up for £1). Please confirm attendance to give an idea of numbers. We ask our attendees to please also donate £5 for attendance or to raise sponsorship.
The walk will start on the grass outside the University of Dundee Union (Balfour Street, DD1 4HP) and will go past Tonic, past the Caird Hall, and we will have a break in front of the Wellgate centre. Then we will continue the walk looping round past the McManus and the Post Office and finishing back in front of the University of Dundee Union. Then Peter Menzies has kindly agreed to host us for a kid friendly after event a short walk away at his The Vine Venue, where tea, coffee, and soft drinks etc will be available.
In addition to going to The Vine we will also have a more adult after party with cheap entry and a DJ in the centre of town organised by Jo Fox between 19:30 and 02:30.
The zombie walk is people having fun by dressing up as zombies and slowly shambling into Dundee. Making your own costume attempt is fun, however, arriving at 13:30 will allow you to be made up as a zombie for £1 (all proceeds to our chosen charity). If not arriving early to get your face painted for £1 then please at least put some talc or pale make up on before arriving, dark makeup around the eyes makes for an easy sunken eye effect. If anybody is interested we could “attack” you mid-walk and transform you into a zombie, while you are swarmed.
