In 2020 the Covid crisis meant that Deeside Thistle Cycling Club faced the prospect of cancelling it's traditional season starting event, the Spring Bunny. 

Instead they took the brave and unprecedented step of holding the event on the then shiny, new and exciting virtual platform called Zwift.

What followed was a remarkably well supported and highly competitive event at which literally hundreds of riders from all corners of the world took part in an extremely successful event which also raised a great deal of money for charity. 

Well, that was last year and this is 2021 and guess what?........they're doing it again and this year the chosen charity is Kayleighs Wee Stars who provide financial support for families where a child has a terminal illness. 

Kayleigh’s Wee Stars is based in Oldmeldrum, Aberdeenshire and is run by 5 trustees and 1 part-time employee, who all work together to maximise the charity’s fundraising efforts to enable families to be supported when they need it.
