Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. We have decided to support a charity founded by a very dear hairdressing friend of ours, Chris Conners and the Coco’s Foundation. Our reason for the support  is simple, we recognise that there are hundreds of thousands of Charities in the UK that need our help and of these, both personally and as a Company we have helped many in our 15 years as a salon. However, the benefits our team members will experience by travelling to South Africa to physically help these Orphans far exceeds any situation that we could show them here in the UK. As a Company we feel that too many people walk on by, and we hope that the time our team members spend with the Orphans will open their eyes and mind and enrich their lives forever. We also hope that the experience will help us all to appreciate what we actually have in our lives. The first trip is in May this year and then October; the remaining team members will then be going over a ten week period in 2012. To kick start the fundraising Mark and Jo will be doing <span style="font-family: "Calibri","sans-serif"; color: black; font-size: 11pt; mso-ascii-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-hansi-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-themecolor: text1; mso-ansi-language: EN;" lang="EN">The Coast to Coast Walk which is a 192-mile (according to a recent re-measuring the real distance is almost 220 miles!) unofficial and mostly un-signposted <a title="Long-distance trail" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Long-distance_trail">long distance footpath</a> in Northern <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/England">England</a>. Devised by <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alfred_Wainwright">Alfred Wainwright</a>, it passes through three contrasting <a title="National Park" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Park">national parks</a>: the <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lake_District">Lake District</a> National Park, the <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yorkshire_Dales">Yorkshire Dales</a> <span style="font-family: "Calibri","sans-serif"; color: black; font-size: 11pt; mso-ascii-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-hansi-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-themecolor: text1; mso-ansi-language: EN;" lang="EN">National Park, and the <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/North_York_Moors">North York Moors</a> National Park on the 8th of May over 9 days. They will be back-packing with tent etc on their back.
