MedEquip4Kids is the charity that helps sick and injured children in and out of hospital. The Charity works in partnership with hospitals to improve the care available to children when they suffer illness or have been involved in accidents, by providing paediatric specific medical equipment and funding for projects that enhance the hospital environment for the benefit of children and their families. In many cases this reduces the time spent by children in hospital. MedEquip4Kids also supports community health projects that enable children whenever possible to be treated at home. This helps to reduce stress for children and their families that can surround a stay in hospital

My story

Thanks for taking the time to have a look at my fundraising page, whatever amount you can give will be greatly appreciated.

I have now completed the challenge but keep findraising at least until I hit my target. Please share my fundraising page with your friends and colleagues! Thanks.

The challenge is a 5 day trek in the Himalayas ~15km a day, which doesn't sound much but the rocky road, great slopes and height will make it a ted harder than a stroll in a park. There is also surviving 4 nights in camp, which (to me) is even more of a challenge (to be honest, I am dreading it).

I started a blog to record my fundraising progress, training for the challenge (which will - hopefully - get me back into sufficient shape to cope) and plan to write a 'Himalayan diary', which will also be published there together with pictures.
